RACHEL HARINGTON

Entrepreneur and Wellness Coach

This was my first retreat and being all women I was apprehensive that I might not fit in but from the moment Poppy greeted me with open arms at the door I knew I was in the right place. Never have I met a more open and willing to share group of women, all coming together to support each other.

It was a calm, gentle time for self-reflection, learning and healing. There were ample opportunities to partake in an array of bespoke spa sessions that as hard working women we don’t always give ourselves the time or space for some much needed, unapologetic self-care.

The friendships and bonds I made over the retreat will stay with me for a lifetime and I have already put my name on the waiting list for the next SLAY RETREAT!

I had never been on any kind of retreat before my SLAY Retreat and I genuinely had one of the best weekends, ever.  Taking the time to pause, reflect and take time for myself was so valuable. Poppy’s programme was relaxing, extremely interesting and thought provoking.  Poppy created a fantastic programme of experiences, an incredible menu, and the yoga with Bianca was just fantastic. I really enjoyed experiencing sound meditation and Reiki for the first time and Bianca’s lunar workshops was fascinating.

Along with one-on-one SLAY chats, the whole weekend was really fun and informative. One of the highlights was how many incredible women I met. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough and now feel so energised and inspired moving forward in my career. A huge thank you to the wonderful Poppy and all the SLAY team!

LOUISA CONNOLLY-BURNHAM

Writer & actress

Slay Retreats went above and beyond what I was expecting, not only did I delve deep and learn new things about myself, I also left with a new tribe of incredible women who I now consider friends and sisters. Through yoga, Reiki, workshops, journaling, meditation, massage, vision-boarding, and just general chit-chats we healed and grew together in the safe, creative, empowering environment that Poppy’s created.

She also provides a very insightful 1-1 coaching session where she introduces certain tools to combat negativity, for me it was “tapping work” and it’s proven a very useful practice indeed. Put simply, her positive vibe is contagious. On top of a fabulously curated programme we had a brilliant team of chefs cooking us fresh, healthy, delicious meals everyday and then of course there was the beautiful setting of Suffolk’s Butley Priory, a dreamy monastery in the middle of the countryside – a welcome change of scenery for a busy Londoner like me. In all honesty I thought I was too sceptical for a retreat of this nature, but it’s safe to say my cynical heart has opened and I feel readier than ever for 2019. Book your Slay Retreat now and prepare to be recharged and inspired…you deserve it. Love and light, Louisa Connolly-Burnham x

I cannot tell you how much lighter, more invigorated and clear we felt, hopping on the train back from the Slay Retreat. Being uplifted by like minded women, in beautiful surroundings and actively looking inwards is something we should all do for ourselves.

Entrepreneur and Wellness Coach

I had an incredibly powerful weekend in the company of some amazing women at the January Slay retreat.  As if the relaxing yoga, insightful workshops, delicious food, beautiful setting and restoring treatments weren’t enough, my 121 with Poppy provided me with clarity over a decision that I hadn’t realised I’d been struggling with and empowered me to step into my own unique gifts as a coach.  Poppy and Bianca are a dream team who curated the perfect agenda and group for an unforgettable retreat experience.

Academic, Activist & Writer

For the past few months, I have felt a need to recharge and refocus both professionally and personally, and so I decided to become one of Poppy’s private clients. She is inspiring and intuitive, and her coaching style is motivating and strategic.

Working with her has been a process of ‘unlearning’ and learning, and from the moment we began working together, I noticed that I have started thinking about my personal and professional goals in a completely different way.

When she launched her Slay retreats, I initially wasn’t sure whether I would be able to take the time out of a busy schedule. However, it was one of the best decisions I have recently made, and it really paid off. It was a beautifully curated experience of reflection, relaxation, empowerment and sisterhood in a great location. In addition to a stimulating program of workshops, yoga, and Reiki, it provided the space to take a moment and pause, rethink and reset in so many ways.

Anyone committed to working through her coaching services will come away feeling like they can conquer the world.

When I talk about her to friends I refer to her as a modern day Haute Healer, and I love that she brings true depth, consciousness, gratitude, self-belief, self-love and success to a high-flying audience who might shy away from the spiritual if they didn’t have someone like Poppy walking the walk and talking the talk to pave the way.

Back in the middle of January I had the pleasure of finding myself in the depths of the Suffolk countryside in an old, beautiful Abbey. No, I hadn’t finally decided to give it all up for a life of chastity, this was the launch of Poppy Delbridge’s SLAY RETREATS.

Poppy is a London based success coach and business owner, who recently quit her highly paid corporate job to offer coaching and consulting to female leaders and entrepreneurs. She decided to launch SLAY RETREATS – a brand new, unique weekend aimed at successful, ambitious women who want to up-level and reconnect with their highest or best self. At SLAY, Poppy offers guests a condensed version of the coaching and and concepts she already uses regularly with her private clients. For those of you haven’t done a retreat before, or even if you have, make sure you leave any pre-conceived ideas behind. Yes, there were lots of ‘retreat’ vibes you’d expect – delicious, nutritious, top-notch quality food created by a private chef, relaxing yin yoga, private and group Reiki sessions, as well as variety of high-end massages and treatments available across the weekend – hot stone, anyone? But don’t worry if you don’t know your feng shui from your shiatsu the weekend will open your mind without making you feel too woo woo (if that’s not your thing).Poppy leads sessions and workshops giving you a sneak peak into her over all style, as well as 1-2-1 ‘Slay Chats’ which are both intuitive and strategic…get yours in early to give yourself maximum benefit to break open across the weekend.

Your days are full, you will be inspired and get your creative juices flowing. Being at SLAY RETREATS forces yourself to get some time out. There were big sessions and q&a’s on manifesting and visualising, understanding your needs and values in life and even guided vision board workshops. Two of the retreat guests (founders of The Gut Stuff) gave an intimate and very inspiring presentation about their business, we even got goodie bags!

If that’s not enough our weekend ended with a beautiful fire ceremony where we wrote letters to ourselves outlining everything we wanted to leave behind in 2019, then burned it under the full moon. Bear with me. The 10 women in my group ranged from cynical ceo’s & ambitious actresses to party hard PR’s and raving radio dj’s – even a UN activist – and we were all fully engaged, loving it and left massively fired up.

Poppy is truly passionate about this work – she’s approachable, friendly, super stylish and glam and most importantly, carefully curates the group to ensure a proper fit. One of the most rewarding things to come out of any group gathering, though never a guarantee, is the long lasting friendships and working collaborations. Scripts, contacts and freelance work has already been shared on the Whatsapp group we set up, so the benefits continue even after you leave.

As a business woman in the creative media industry myself, and someone who considers myself a pretty open soul, I don’t always have the time or self motivation to focus on myself and put goals and new ideas into practice. When your weekends become about getting shit done that you can’t do in the week, playing catch up and clearing your inbox, this was the perfect weekend to reflect on intentions for my career, relationships, life goals and the year ahead with other like minded successful women.

We spent the weekend surrounded by trees and fields, open fireplaces, stained glass windows and high ceilings – Poppy plans to find more equally unique and luxurious locations of all shapes and sizes not too far from London for future SR’s so you can get away from the office on a Friday and ease in quickly to your new home for the weekend.
